Great Gifts for Great Holiday Parties

Posted by Bryan on 11/24/2013 to Hints & Helpful Tips
Christmas comes but once a year and it's so much more than a day, it's an entire season. In a region where snow is out of the question, there's nothing like some of that cheery holiday decor to remind a person that it is in fact December and those holiday parties are just around the corner. Whether you're involved in throwing one of these events; or just planning on making a memorable appearance there are always a couple of items that can make this month one for the history books.

Hosting a party is a lot of work and more likely than not you'll find yourself in attendance at a Christmas get together rather than playing the role of host or hostess. While simply being present for a night of holiday cheer is typically the most anyone asks of their guests, it's usually more than welcome to ring the doorbell with a present or party favor in hand. Host/hostess gifts are always a well received idea, yet often it can be a great surprise to bring along something that all the attendees can enjoy.

A great option to lively up a night are bon bons or crackers. These are an inexpensive option as a gift, often running around $15 or $16 for a dozen. It's a small investment to purchase a couple boxes that can be enjoyed by multiple individuals throughout the night.

Another excellent option is a themed CD. This can really bring up the liveliness of an evening with such great compilations as Elvis's Christmas, Christmas Dance Party, or Rockin around the Christmas Tree. Some of these classic tunes may get overplayed during the season but will always be appreciated during a holiday themed event. Try this as a gift for the host that they can use over and over again.

This year a singing Santa hat may be just the trick. Use this to be the life of your own party. Great products are available that not only play classic holiday tunes, they dance on your head! If you're throwing your own event try purchasing a couple and watch as they are used as hilarious conversation pieces that rotate around the room.

These are just a few simple and reasonably priced ideas that can add just that extra hint of Christmas magic that a party might need. Many decorating ideas have been done and overdone so try to add something unique this holiday season.
